What is the VREF pin (pin 5) connected to? Where can I get a PCB with the IN114 on it like the ones you are using?

Strain guages are a pain. Friend made one for his final year project. Luckilly the lab assistant had wired them up all over the country and told him to use a hacksaw blade with the teeth ground off as the steel to mount the membrane on (high carbon, heat treated thin steel – you can't beat it) . Worked great. Then he drilled a small hole at one end for mounting purposes and ruined it. Then add the instrument amp and the two stage filter. Pain in the ass. Get one with temp conditioning and a V output built in.
Yes output load sensor voltage is very small so you must use amplifier for example instrumentation amplifier How to remove noise in output voltage? is it using filter or calibrated using software? how the schematic for half bridge?

Do I need 2 load cells to actually 'read'' it? I ask that because I bought only one with the intention of making some weight measures but can't figure out how to connect it.

Hi am i able to use this to measure impact force? ie if i drop a 300grams of hardened clay onto the force sensor. can i choose to use only 1 of the SEN-10245 force sensor only and not 2? thanks!

Hi.. please help.. I wanted to use the same load sensor(the one on sparksfun website) . But there its written I need four sensors otherwise it won't work. How can i use two of them?? help me out please !!
The schematic show the load cells wired in parallel, but if you want the circuit to add the loads of the two sensors rather than difference them, flip the black and white of one of the sensors so a load on one would pull it's sensor terminal up, while a load on the other would pull its sensor terminal down. Then, a load on either or both would unbalance the wheatstone bridge more, making a bigger signal.

Hi, I wonder if you could help me, I'm trying to develop a weighing scales that has a built-in max and minimum alarm. The reason for this is I'm in the process of setting up a weight loss business and I don't want my patients to be able to see their weight. Ideally what I want is for them to stand on the weighing scales and if they go over a preset maximum weight, an alarm will go off and similarly if they go below a preset weight an alarm will go off.

How would i research a paper thin, pliable/soft load sensor up to 300#? I need the information to be transmitted in real time to my laptop or handheld device.
Does it measure object weighing less then 0.5 kg?
Would it damage the load cell if more than 50kg is applied? Or will it just not give you a reading above 50kg?
