NO!!! those cars are made that way special for americans, otherwise they`d smash something in front or back of them !!!! if I recall cars in europe start without clutch engeded and eveen when on gear !!!
Yeah, I got a Renault Kangoo, I never press the clutch when starting, in Europe we don't need to do that.
Do you have a separate clutch/brake on the passenger side or just a brake?
I dont know why you push the cluch when your are in neutral ^^ and u will learn someone ….

Anyway, when you start the engine, and the car is in neutral, you don't have to press clutch.

seriously now, when you have never driven a manual car, this means that you are or disabled so you can only drive a automatic, or you are just too lazy.
