Humans Need Not Apply
Humans Need Not Apply
this will lead to severe income inequality, then a world wide uprising, then complete replacement of all humans.
One solution for when we are all redundant is an automation tax + basic income for all. But I don't think robots will ever replace human art. Even if they become more creative than us, robot art will still be less desireable because we will value authentic expressions of other humans higher than robot art.
Then what are the point of humans then?
The point is that we have to educate, we cant allow people to stop learn after high school.
You have a very sad outlook on humanity. If those programs are as useful as you describe them, they will increase human wealth. All that is left is to distribute it fairly.
7:29 well shit
What about stand up comedians? Some people barely like female or black comedians, let alone robotic ones
Also, ask the robots what humans can do
If robots are better that humans (which they soon will be) ask them to figure out what we can do
This means more athletes, gotta hit the gym!
Watching in 2018 and look at the impact that time has now had on the taxi industry alone, thanks to a couple of rideshare apps.
Genetic engineering might let us complete or if we improve biotech (cyborgs) if we can make A.I. for are neo cortex then we can compete
The difference between horses, humans and bots: horses don't form societies or nations and bots can only do what they are programmed to do. That means the bots scope is limited by… human invention. Can you give a bot a command that a human hasn't considered?
Great video I loved it, however I think the horse analogy may be a "false analogy" due a horse loosing its job due to humans being more comparable to humans being replaced by the technology of invading aliens
Keep more videos coming
I just realized how old this video is o_o
stupid democrat fascists……sigh lower gov spending 99% and dergulate, enforce property then we have peace and harmony among men n women
Cyberpunk
I could only think of one job that cannot be replaced….
Prostitutes……….
Laziness is the mother of human innovation… well "innovation". In this world of corporatism, money is the main goal of everyone. More and more and more and more money. It's scary. Human labour is at stake, and in the short term, well "short" depending on what short means to you, as long as we live in an unequal, capitalistic society, who knows how many people will be on the streets when bots take over. As long as there isn't a basic income for EVERY SINGLE HUMAN IN THE WORLD, I will keep fighting against the advancement of bots at the expense of the people. For when the day comes when humans need not apply, and the conditions are unfavorable for anyone other than the working elite, the people will have to rise up, and take military action, tear down the wall of greed that drives corporations, and take back their birthrights. As long as the world won't be a communist utopia where everyone lives an equal life where everything is handed to them by the aforementioned robots, then we won't be able to live a sound life anymore. Don't call me a "commie fucker" or such, I'm not advocating for Communism now, I'm just saying that it is the world that we should strive to build.
Originally published August 13, 2014? In the first five years, we have seen no radical disruption in employment. We have instead seen a consistent increase in human employment. A couple of recessions from now wouldn’t change the conclusion that on a 5- to 20-year timeline, machines didn’t replace human workers. If the video is meant to describe a timeline longer than 20 years, then adaptation of the labor market to maintain current levels of labor participation seem assured. Twenty years is plenty of time for workers to adapt to useful occupations.
In the end it's best for us to develop the human machine interface, and, instead of competing with machines for work, we mantain ourselves as equals. Yes this is technology we have seen a lot in fiction and very little of in the real world, and technology that advances very slowly compared to the advancement of the machines themselves, but it is a path to follow if we don't want to become obsolete piles of meat, and instead want to see as much of this reality we live in as we can
Stellaris "Rogue Servitor" scenario inbound!
I'm a graphic designer. I don't think a bot can figure out what a client wants when he himself doesn't know (99% true). The abstract thinking and lack of communication skills will destroy any bot! I don't worry about losing my job anytime soon. It just may get easier because technology. =)
Well economies require humans to buy things. So yeah our jobs are being destroyed but if no one has money to buy things then the robots are useless
When you're Indian, and he came mechanical cars 'Autos'.
are the bots gonna attack the movie business?
I’m hoping that by the time humans can’t work they will save no much money socialism will become a viable solution
A CEO owns a company. They replace all their workers with robots. Of course, their profits rise by an astonishing amount as robots are most efficient and cost-effective than humans. But what they have, is not a company anymore. They don't have a workplace, they don't need canteens, and decorations, and human-centered accommodations. And my question is:
Does that CEO still think that he owns a "company"?
Because that's not a company. It's not human. It's not meant to be among humans, and it's wrong.
So my response to the issue this video poses is that humans do need apply, and they must not let this grim future become a reality.
How about make video games?
The answer to the information not show in this video is Neural Networks go find out what that means information bubbled brainwashed idiot
