|Sketchup Tutorial For Beginners – Part One
Go to http://www.MasterSketchup.com to learn how to create unique 3D models using Trimble Sketchup. If you’re brand new to Sketchup, or have tried it before and are thinking about giving it a second shot, this video should get you on the right track. I go over the basic drawing tools and navigation tools so that by the end of the video you should be able to make your first model in Sketchup on your own. I will introduce you to the Select tool, Move/Copy tool, Rectangle Tool, Line Tool, Move Tool, Orbit and Zoom, the Tape measure tool and the Push/Pull tool.

Ok, well apparently this is out-of-date. "The first thing you're going to want to do is turn on 'instructor'", well there's no instructor option under 'Window' anymore, I guess. Maybe it's hiding somewhere, but if I'm watching a tutorial video and the first, important thing they want us to do is no longer the same as they way it's being shown in the video, I'm not going to bother watching anymore, and will go off in search of a more recent tutorial.
Thanks!
Rn in my tech class I’m doing this and bruh I was sick yesterday and today I walk in and we are working on this.. like literally I didn’t know what anyyyy Of this so now I’m watchin all these tutorials
thanks a lot

There is no "instructor". Did they change the software?
thx ..it helps me lot
Could you say the keyboard shortcuts please? It was kind of hard to actually find all the tools you were talking about when you made them appear from nowhere. Besides that, great tutorial!
I downloaded a sketchup and it has a black screen, I guess it's a camera/view. It's showing all the tools though, do you know how to fix that by any chance, Thank you!
A little irritating that in imperial and not metric
Thanks
How can we know that is in it m,ft,in and so on…
Miksi olet hiljainen?
Simple, very informative, and not boring! Thank you!
If anyone is wondering, if you have 2017/2018 version you can still follow up with his tutorial.
Thanks again!!!
This is one of the best educational tutorials I have seen. Thanks for talking at a good pace instead of rushing through all the instructions.

Hey Matt ran into this video while searching and figured I'd stop by and see how you were doing! I'm sure the community misses your tutorials man.
I'm trying out the free trial before going ahead with a purchase. I'm having difficulties with creating the walls and figuring out how to use this program. I;m using the browser version and I dont see all of the same tools that you have. Is it different in the app version??
I can't type on the measurements. It's online and a bit different.
how can you upload an image to the level plane?
Done
Good instructor.
Thank you

Sketch up is gay, and boring, like this vid lolololol
I’m joking, this is great
This is for 3D printing right?
I can't believe people still prefer to work in feet and inches when we have metric.
Expert
Matt, I am a paid member of sketchuphero.com and Jake mentioned you about your book "Sketchup to Layout" which is how I found you here.
I am interested in purchasing your book and I thought maybe you know him, or know of him? I wondered if you might know if he is going to finish the 'Rocket' tutorial?
Thank you!
Amazing video! Thank you for posting. I have no background in SketchUp but this is going to help me get up and running quick!
Very helpful tutorial.
well, crap, this is sketchup pro. I want to use the web version.
