same thing happened to our john deere 690 elc earlier in the summmer….i was walkin it down a hill an it just started crawlin real slow!!…then i hurry up backed on the side an the engine just stopped, then when i cranked it back up it idled really low even at full throttle ,then when i shut it down it wouldnt start again…..al to find out 1 wire on the circuit board had frayed and broken so we ordered a new 1 an who knew…it worked!!
@marianoturnquest what exactly are you calling the circuit board? computer?
@marianoturnquest this has the same computer system as the 690 elc
yes the computer on the machine
yup i know whats worng it did it on my pc200 sounds like you not geting power to the pressure relief valves or your not geting the full 24volts im guessing its 24 because it sounds like the same motor thats in mine cummins what year is it?
yea they are the same machines…different paint lol
@marianoturnquest there's 2 of them, do you know if it was the bigger one or smaller one? I ordered the bigger one out of the junk yard but i think it was toast when it came in
@marianoturnquest there's 2 of them, do you know if it was the bigger one or smaller one? I ordered the bigger one out of the junk yard but i think it was toast when it came in, the newer ones have different software so they won't interchange like the old ones
@AaronDittmer this one has the isuzu engine but it's around a 93 model, i bought a computer out of the junk yard but it wouldn't flash a code at all, I'm going to Ironpeddlers tomorrow, they got some deere machines that may have computers, will check them out tomorrow
oh yea your has a computer to run every thing thats the olny part about my pc200 i liked sorry i couldnt help let me know if you have any luck trying a new computer
Stupid Johndeer!
I have a 1993 Hitachi EX 200 -2 doing the identical thing, got a mechanic coming to look tomorrow.these series are bad for their electrical issues.Where can a guy get used computers for them?p.s. your sight guage on the hydraulic tank needs a check
@skadill I'm pretty sure this one is a 93 model also. I bought a used computer but it was no good for $600+freight but they took it back, new one is $1700, i think that is ridiculious. yeah on that site gauge, it busted a hose that leaks from the travel when this happened and i crawled it on the lowboy and to the shop and it was that low, notice the bucket of oil sitting on the track that i must be too lazy to put in it, let me know what the mechanic says, this one kicked ass around here
@skadill I'm kinda burnt out on this machine and it's electrical problem, I'm thinking about buying an old 225 cat so i won't have to worry too much about electronics….
@BradyHill1 -some dash 2 200's were good and some were bad, mine has 11500 hrs,I ve only had it a few weeks and run it one hour, noe its near dead electrically.been told if you have a exhaust leak it cooks the wires under them and wrecks the computer. If these computers encounter any resistance they blow.leaking hyraulic oil also affets the wiring harness and creates resistance in the wires the computer cant handle.Itried swapping the 2 pump solenoids ,and it made no diff.
@BradyHill1 when I replaced the main relay above the batteries my dash lights and half the fuse panel came back to life.My throttle has been converted to a manual cable type, which is hard on the mode sensors as they now cant control the engine load.
@skadill this one has 13k hours on it, i've had it for 5 years, it's always acted kinda funny. I can unhook the inside solenoid and mine will rev up but runs slow sometimes you have to cut it off sometimes you don't, it has 24v at the solenoid but is supposed to pulse the to change pressures (best of my understanding) my older one has been bypass with what is refered to as a 80 percent valve, too bad it's not compatable with this machine, let me know what you find out and i will do the same
@skadill ok.Or I can give you the # of a master mechanic and electrical guy who explained more stuff for me to check than I could grasp,He knows these things inside and out,and is bringing the 200-2 computer reader diagnosis thing with him.theres a vid of my 200 on my site
@skadill I understand how the system works, mine would not hook up to the computer diagnosis, good luck with that, most of them won't, just keep me updated so maybe i can get mine fixed, i've completely parked it and plan on buying a 225 cat off the sale tomorrow
@skadill mines listed for sale now,and have had good interest at 13,750$,someone wanting to even bring a cheque with them upon inspecting it.I did a walk around vid on my channel of the machine condition,as of the weekend here.
here's an update on the problem with this machine, I called Deere today to order a new computer, (just another guess at the problem) and they are down to $1620 plus shipping and tax for it. here's the problem, since my machine is "old as hell" the computer has to come from overseas, I have to pay up front and it could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months before I get it, aint that some bullshit? next one will be a cat even if they aint as good of machines
I'm a Hitachi mech in new zealand most likely cause is a failed Angle Sensor on the hydraulic pump but pump regulators, differential pressure sensor, failed computer and delivery pressure sensor could all so cause this fault.
machine cannot be operated manually using throttle cable. behind seat should be throttle control which is a board enclosed metal box
what happen do you find the solution
