Indonesian Voice Command Prototype for Home Automation

“Bejo” is an Indonesian voice command prototype for home automation. Up to now, it can control lamps, AC, and horizontal blinds.

Bejo uses Raspberry Pi as the brain for the entire system and Arduino as the device controller.
The softwares that build Bejo are these:
– Julius, a Speech-To-Text (STT) engine === for voice recognition
– Hidden Markov Model Toolkit === for making language model and acoustic model for Julius
– eSpeak, a Text-To-Speech (TTS) engine === for the system’s reply
– Audacity === for recording process for training th acoustic model

USB webcam with built-in microphone used as the sound receiver.

This project was made for a final project of bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Petra Christian University, Surabaya.
